As the first automotive brand to partner with a cat-themed exhibition in Malaysia, OMODA | JAECOO Malaysia is using Oh My Meow! Expo 2026 to showcase the J5 EV in a lifestyle environment rather than a conventional showroom. The collaboration reflects the brand’s focus on connecting with consumers through experiences that align with modern lifestyles while highlighting the vehicle’s pet-friendly design and versatility.

Designed for urban explorers, young families and pet owners, the JAECOO J5 EV blends contemporary styling with intelligent technology and everyday practicality. The electric SUV is powered by a front-mounted motor producing 155 kW and 288 Nm of torque, paired with a 58.9 kWh CATL lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery that delivers a WLTP-rated driving range of up to 402 km.
For added convenience, the battery supports DC fast charging from 30 to 80 per cent in just 28 minutes. The J5 EV also comes with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, allowing owners to power compatible electrical devices directly from the vehicle for camping, outdoor activities and other lifestyle applications.
The J5 EV has also been developed with pet-loving families in mind. Its spacious cabin, generous luggage capacity and practical storage solutions are designed to comfortably accommodate passengers alongside their furry companions.
Technology is another key highlight. The J5 EV features Active Grille Shutter (AGS) technology to optimise aerodynamic efficiency, Level 2+ Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) with 19 intelligent safety functions, a 540-degree HD Surround View Camera System and a 13.2-inch 2K central infotainment display.
Comfort is enhanced by a 1.45-square-metre panoramic glass roof, double-glazed front side windows to reduce cabin noise, rear multi-link suspension for improved ride quality and dual-zone automatic climate control.
Practicality remains one of the SUV’s strongest attributes, with a 35-litre front trunk (frunk), a 480-litre rear cargo compartment and 35 thoughtfully integrated storage spaces throughout the cabin to maximise everyday usability.
Visitors can experience the JAECOO J5 EV up close at the OMODA | JAECOO booth during Oh My Meow! Expo 2026, taking place from 9 to 12 July 2026 at Level 3, Mid Valley Exhibition Centre (MVEC), Mid Valley Megamall. The booth also features a range of pet-friendly activities for families, pet lovers and automotive enthusiasts.
