July 03,2026,Kuala Lumpur-Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has successfully concluded the 2026 MercedesTrophy National FinalMalaysia, bringing another memorable chapter to its signature amateur golf tournament. Now in its 36th year, MercedesTrophy continues to unite golf enthusiasts from more than 60 countries through a shared appreciation for performance, precision and excellence.
As Mercedes-Benz celebrates 140 years of innovation, the tournament reflects the brand’s enduring values of craftsmanship, progress and engineering excellence—both on the road and on the fairway.

At the 2026 MercedesTrophy National Final Malaysia, three golfers emerged as champions in their respective categories after delivering composed and consistent performances throughout the competition. Ng Jun Lip claimed the Category A title, Mohd Azli bin Jamal secured victory in Category B, while Liew Kim Weng topped Category C. Their success reflected exceptional skill, precision, and consistency, earning them top honours at the tournament.

The tournament featured four qualifying rounds held at Tropicana Golf & Country Resort and Kota Permai Golf & Country Club, with the top five golfers from each round advancing to the National Final. The championship was held on 22 June at The ELS Club Desaru Coast, Johor, where they battled for the national title and the honour of representing Malaysia at the MercedesTrophy World Final.
Complementing the tournament was a curated selection of exclusive prizes and merchandise, headlined by the Mercedes-Benz E 350e as the Hole-In-One prize. Datuk Shaifuddin bin Abdul Manan also claimed the Drive to the Major title, securing an all-expenses-paid experience at The Open 2026, from 15th to 20th July.
The top three golfers in each category, determined by the highest Stableford points, were also awarded an all-inclusive trip to the MercedesTrophy World Final 2026. Set to return from 28th September to 2nd October 2026, the World Final will once again be held at the five-star hotel ‘Der Öschberghof’ in the Black Forest, with views overlooking Lake Constance and the Swiss Alps. Malaysia’s representatives will proudly compete on the world stage.
