June 23,2026,Modena-Maserati has refined the GranTurismo formula with a sharper design, upgraded cabin tech, improved dynamics and a more efficient Folgore, giving its flagship grand tourer a stronger split between luxury, performance and electric performance.
Presented in Modena, the updated GranTurismo stays true to the nameplate’s long-standing brief of blending sports-car pace with long-distance comfort and Italian elegance, while introducing meaningful changes across design, technology and powertrain strategy.
The range now spans three distinct personalities. The 490-CV version focuses on luxury touring, the 590-CV Trofeo leans harder into performance, while the 760-CV Folgore , Maserati’s first full-electric production model, which brings the GranTurismo into the EV era with torque vectoring, a 325 km/h top speed and a more distinctive visual treatment featuring die-cast Aura wheels, illuminated side air intakes, copper badging and illuminated door pillars.
Visually, Maserati has reworked the front end with redesigned air intakes, a new air curtain and an optimised splitter to improve airflow and front downforce, while clear-lens rear lights freshen up the rear. New gloss black Trident wheels widen the track by 10 mm, sharpening stability and stance, while seven new exterior colours and fresh interior trims broaden personalisation options.
Inside, the cabin gets a new steering wheel design, a revamped Maserati Digital Clock, revised metal controls and upgraded displays, including a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, 8.8-inch comfort display, 12.2-inch digital instrument cluster and head-up display. A new fatigue monitoring system also joins the suite, using a dedicated camera to detect distraction and drowsiness in real time.
Petrol versions continue with Maserati’s 3.0-litre twin-turbo Nettuno V6 in 490-CV and 590-CV states of tune, retaining the brand’s Formula 1-derived Twin Combustion technology and cylinder deactivation for improved efficiency.
The biggest gains come on the Folgore, which now adds a new AWD Disconnect system that physically disengages the front axle when not needed, helping extend range to up to 540 km. Maserati has also revised the aerodynamics, tyre package, thermal management and regenerative strategies to improve efficiency without compromising performance.
Drive modes have also been expanded. Petrol models gain a new Country mode that raises ride height by 20 mm for rougher surfaces, while the Folgore adds GT and Max Range settings alongside its more aggressive Sport and Corsa calibrations.
The new Maserati GranCabrio returns as the open-air expression of the Trident’s grand touring heritage, pairing timeless Italian elegance with sharper performance, enhanced comfort and a more polished onboard experience.First launched in 2007 and fully reinvented in 2023, the latest GranCabrio arrives with refinements to its design, aerodynamics, driving dynamics and perceived quality, while staying true to its signature formula of four proper seats, a fabric roof and genuine open-top usability.
The line-up now spans three distinct personalities. The 490-CV version focuses on refined grand touring with full-grain leather and satin chrome detailing, while the 590-CV Trofeo turns up the intensity with a more aggressive aerodynamic package, forged wheels, exposed carbon fibre, E-LSD and sports exhaust. Leading the range is the 760-CV Folgore, which ushers the GranCabrio into the electric era with torque vectoring, copper-accented styling and a 290 km/h top speed, making it the fastest electric convertible on the road.
Further updates include a redesigned front end for improved airflow and downforce, new Trident wheels that widen the track for greater stability, and a more driver-focused cabin with a new steering wheel, updated digital clock and refreshed controls. Under the skin, Maserati offers a choice between the twin-turbo 3.0-litre Nettuno V6 in 490-CV and 590-CV forms, or the fully electric Folgore with an 800-volt, three-motor powertrain delivering 760 CV to the wheels and up to 508 km of range.

This latest evolution also raises the bar in perceived quality and driver engagement. A redesigned metal gear selector with backlit tactile controls, a new racing-inspired steering wheel and updated paddle shifter functionality all bring a more intuitive, performance-oriented feel to the cabin. Combined with richer materials, advanced comfort features and a broad six-model line-up spanning from the standard Grecale to the Trofeo V6 and all-electric Folgore, the new Grecale emerges as a more complete expression of Maserati’s luxury SUV formula.
