Malaysia’s automotive market is currently sitting between two worlds. Electric vehicles continue to gain traction, with more brands entering the market every year, while conventional petrol-powered vehicles still dominate sales. The spacious cabin, excellent fuel economy, compact dimensions and modern interior combine to create a package that feels remarkably well thought out.
What impressed me most was how intelligently everything works together. The drivetrain constantly optimises efficiency without drawing attention to itself, the cabin feels larger than expected and the vehicle’s size makes it exceptionally easy to live with in urban environments. Add the more distinctive IMPUL styling package, and the result is a crossover that offers genuine substance beneath its stylish exterior.
In a market increasingly crowded with hybrids, plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles, the Nissan Kicks IMPUL has carved out a unique identity. It may not be the most powerful SUV in its segment, but it could very well be one of the smartest.
