June 05, 2026 ,KUALA LUMPUR–BYD Sime Motors has unveiled the new 2026 BYD ATTO 3 at the Sime Motors MotorExpo 2026, with the tagline “Faster, Further, Smarter”.The updated model represents the next evolution of BYD’s best-selling EV SUV and reinforces the growing momentum of electric mobility adoption in Malaysia.
The unveiling were officiated by , Jacob Ma,-MD of BYD Malaysia, Jeffrey Gan,- MD of Southeast Asia, Sime Motors, Adeline Lew– MD of BYD Sime Motors,Vi Thim Juan – MD of Malaysia Retail & Distribution, Sime Motors, Phang Rick Kee,- Head of Marketing, BYD Malaysia; and Kent Wong – Senior Sales Planning Manager, BYD Malaysia.
According to Jacob Ma,-MD of BYD Malaysia , the ATTO 3 remains a cornerstone of the brand’s success in the Malaysian market.
“The BYD ATTO 3 is the model that marked the beginning of BYD’s journey in Malaysia and continues to be an important part of our success here. As our first BYD model in the country, it has gone on to become the top-selling EV SUV locally,” he said.
Jack Ma added that BYD’s partnership with Sime Motors has played a crucial role in helping the company better understand local customer needs while strengthening the ownership experience through reliable aftersales support and customer service.
Building on its global success of more than 1.1 million units sold, the 2026 BYD ATTO 3 introduces a more refined driving experience, improved driving range and enhanced daily usability, delivering greater value to customers.
Meanwhile, Adeline Lew-MD of BYD Sime Motors highlighted the significance of the model in Malaysia’s EV journey.
“When we introduced BYD to Malaysia in December 2022, the BYD ATTO 3 was more than just a new SUV—it sparked a nationwide movement towards electric mobility,” she said.
Adeline Lew noted that the ATTO 3 has become Malaysia’s best-selling EV model of all time, with more than 12,000 units sold nationwide. She added that the latest version has been updated specifically to meet the evolving needs of Malaysian motorists, combining improved performance, smarter technology and greater everyday practicality.
With the launch of the 2026 BYD ATTO 3, BYD aims to further strengthen its position as Malaysia’s leading EV brand while continuing to accelerate the country’s transition towards sustainable mobility.
BYD ATTO 3 – Product Highlights
The 2026 BYD ATTO 3 comes in two variants — Ultra variant priced at RM 125,800 while the Premium variant is priced at RM 138,800. Both variants are available in a range of stylish colours, including Ski White, Atlantis Grey, Harbour Grey and Cosmos Black.
The Premium variant accelerates from 0–100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds, powered by BYD’s 74.8 kWh Blade Battery with up to 600 km (NEDC) range and DC fast charging up to 220kW. The Ultra variant offers a 60.48 kWh Blade Battery with 480 km range and DC fast charging up to 110kW. Both are equipped with ADAS systems and lifestyle driven features designed for modern Malaysian needs.
