May 27, 2026,Malaysia- Dongfeng and Volt Auto have reaffirmed their long-term commitment to the Malaysian market, with local assembly (CKD) plans already forming part of the company’s roadmap for this year.
According to Soh Ming,- CEO of Volt Auto, the move aligns closely with the recent direction announced by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) for Malaysia’s evolving EV landscape.

The company noted that the policy encourages automotive players to adopt a more long-term and committed approach towards the Malaysian market.

At the same time, Volt Auto emphasised that aftersales support remains one of its key priorities when appointing dealership partners, underlining its focus on long-term ownership confidence and overall customer experience for Malaysian consumers.

In conjunction with its growing presence in Malaysia, Dongfeng is also currently running the Dongfeng Brand Ambassador Campaign until 31 July 2026 as part of efforts to further strengthen public engagement and brand visibility locally.
