Castrol Malaysia and SANY Malaysia Forge Strategic Partnership

MAY 26,2026,Kuala Lumpur – Castrol Malaysia, has entered into a strategic collaboration with SANY Malaysia, part of SANY Group, to strengthen support for Malaysia’s heavy equipment industry through lubricant supply, technical expertise, after-sales services and customer engagement initiatives.

The agreement was signed by Mike Zhang, VP of Castrol Asia Pacific and  Liao Wei, Chairman of the Board of SANY Singapore Malaysia and Australia BU, in the presence of Gan Wee Kiong, Castrol Country Sales Director for Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines, Victor Cheong,-Castrol Head of Marketing for Asia Pacific  and Qi Long, –SANY Deputy GM of the Spare Parts Subsidiary

Mike Zhang, commented, “Working alongside SANY reflects our commitment to supporting the industries that are driving Malaysia’s development. By bringing Castrol’s liquid engineering expertise into the machinery that powers construction, infrastructure and logistics, we are helping operators improve equipment reliability, reduce avoidable downtime and maintain performance in demanding operating environments.”

Liao Wei, said, “As SANY continues to expand in Malaysia, our focus remains on supporting contractors, fleet owners and operators throughout the lifecycle of their equipment. Castrol’s lubrication knowledge strengthens our aftersales capabilities and allows us to deliver more consistent on-ground support across our equipment network.”

Under the agreement, Castrol will supply engine oils, gear oils, hydraulic fluids and greases across SANY’s heavy machinery and equipment portfolio. The collaboration also includes technical services, lubrication guidance, application support and training programmes for SANY teams and customers to ensure optimum product application across engine, transmission and hydraulic systems.

Both companies will additionally work together to develop fit-for-purpose lubrication solutions tailored to varying operational requirements, with the aim of enhancing machinery efficiency, durability and long-term performance

For SANY equipment owners and operators across construction and infrastructure projects, the collaboration supports more consistent equipment upkeep, improved maintenance planning and stronger lubricant availability over time. Castrol’s nationwide distribution network, supported by its blending plant in Port Klang, enables more responsive supply, ensuring lubricants are available as demand continues to grow.

By improving route-to-market support for SANY through wider network coverage, consistent stock supply and local production capability, Castrol is strengthening its role in helping equipment operators achieve greater productivity, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency through innovative lubrication solutions.
