In a significant fleet expansion, UD Trucks Malaysia, in partnership with sole distributor Tan Chong Industrial Equipment Sdn Bhd (TCIE), has delivered 173 new trucks to Alam Flora, strengthening the concessionaire’s waste collection and public cleansing operations across Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Pahang.
The fleet—comprising medium-duty UD Croner and light-duty UD Kuzer models—marks a major upgrade in capability, enhancing efficiency, reliability and overall service performance.
Due to the scale of the order, deliveries were rolled out in phases, ensuring strict quality control while allowing for specialised body customisation to maximise productivity in waste collection operations.
The final batch of delivery was marked by a vehicle handover ceremony held at the premises of truck body builder partner Terberg Malaysia in Balakong, Selangor, where five units of the UD Croner were officially handed over to Alam Flora.
The event was attended by Shariman Yusuf Mohamed Zain–CEO of Alam Flora; Loh Thim Choy–COO of Tan Chong Industrial Equipment Sdn Bhd (TCIE); Tanasegaran Kesavan- Deputy GM for After Sales Service at TCIE; Boo Wei Ching-CEO of Terberg Tractors Malaysia; and Jeremy Boanson-James- MD of Terberg Zenith Malaysia.
UD Croner is equipped with a powerful 6-cylinder engine for long haul and heavier loads. The truck can cope with the toughest demands in various operational conditions, and its highly reliable automatic transmissions are optimized for logistics and waste compactors. Meanwhile, UD Kuzer offers great versatility for any urban environment, and the optimized driveline with fuel coaching technology ensures better efficiency.
The UD vehicles for Alam Flora are mounted with Terberg Malaysia’s advance Olympus rear-loading compaction waste collection body and bin lifter technology.
