April 01,2026,Kuala Lumpur.-GWM Malaysia is setting its sights on a 6% market share and 60,000 annual sales, aiming to secure a position among the Top 10 automotive brands in the country — including ranking within the Top 3 Chinese marques.
Powering this ambition is a technology-led strategy that moves beyond short-term, price-driven competition. Instead, the brand is doubling down on long-term value creation through continuous investment in products, infrastructure, and talent.

Since entering the Malaysian market, GWM has steadily expanded its footprint by growing its product line-up, strengthening its dealer network, and investing in local capabilities. In 2025, the brand recorded nearly 5,900 vehicle sales, representing 177% year-on-year growth. This reflects strong acceptance of its products and approach in the Malaysian market.

“At GWM Malaysia, our focus has always been on building a long-term automotive brand in this market,” said Roslan Abdullah, -COO of GWM Malaysia. “We compete through engineering excellence, intelligent platforms, advanced safety technologies, and stronger products that deliver lasting value. Supported by a growing nationwide network, this disciplined approach lays a solid foundation for sustainable growth and enduring customer trust.”
He added, “Our growth in 2025 reflects something deeper — rising confidence in our products, our people, and the strength of our dealer network, alongside a robust aftersales ecosystem. The priority now is to translate this momentum into long-term value by putting the right foundations in place, ensuring our growth continues to strengthen the brand in the years ahead.”

Aligned with Malaysia’s electrification push and broader ASEAN New Energy strategy, GWM Malaysia is reinforcing its multi-powertrain approach — spanning ICE, HEV, PHEV, and BEV — to meet diverse customer needs.
The brand continues to sharpen its identity across four distinct marques — HAVAL, TANK, ORA, and WEY — each catering to different lifestyles and driving preferences.
Looking ahead, GWM’s product pipeline remains robust, headlined by the upcoming Tank 300 HEV, alongside new B-SUV and C-SUV models slated for 2026–2027, including a future luxury C-SUV. Technology will remain central to this rollout, led by GWM’s Hi4 intelligent hybrid system, first introduced in the WEY G9 Hi4 PHEV and set to underpin future models.
