March 06 ,2026 ,KUALA LUMPUR– Gentari, in collaboration with Lembaga Lebuhraya Malaysia (LLM), has launched a 200kW DC fast charger at the PETRONAS Penchala Link (Damansara-bound) — the only charger of its kind within a five-kilometre radius — marking a key step in strengthening intercity EV charging infrastructure for Klang Valley motorists.
The initiative supports the growing number of electric vehicle (EV) users travelling between cities while underscoring LLM’s role in enabling smoother, more reliable EV journeys along Malaysia’s highways.
The upgrade enhances the site’s existing 24kW charger with a 200kW DC fast charger equipped with three nozzles, enabling drivers to gain over 60% battery charge in a significantly shorter stop, reducing charging time by approximately 20 minutes.
By introducing the only 200kW charger within a five-kilometre radius, the installation improves access to high-speed charging along this key Klang Valley corridor, making EV travel more convenient for daily commuters and long-distance drivers alike.
The initiative reflects LLM’s strategic corridor planning and commitment to strengthening Malaysia’s highway infrastructure for the EV era. Through close collaboration,clean energy solutions provider Gentari and LLM are transforming highways from simple interstate connectors into critical intercity EV charging infrastructure, ensuring charging solutions are strategically located and aligned with real-world travel demand.
