February 24, 2026,Selangor – KDEB Waste Management Sdn Bhd (KDEBWM) has strengthened its fleet with 51 units of the UD Trucks Croner Euro 5, now fully deployed for waste collection across Selangor.
KDEBWM is a wholly-owned entity of the Selangor state government which manages domestic waste collection and public cleansing services for the state.
The latest batch saw 23 units handed over for deployment in Sepang, with a vehicle handover ceremony held at the premises of Majlis Perbandaran Sepang. The event was attended by Dato’ Haji Ramli Mohd Tahir-MD of KDEBWM; Dr Hajah Ani binti Ahmad– Yang Dipertua of Majlis Perbandaran Sepang; and Loh Thim Choy, COO of TCIE.
Dato’ Haji Ramli Mohd Tahir shared that all newly delivered trucks are already in operation and have proven to be a valuable addition to KDEBWM’s fleet. He cited the Croner Euro 5’s strong engine performance, lower emissions, enhanced uptime, 19-tonne body capacity, spacious cabin and dependable aftersales support from TCIE as key factors behind the purchase decision.
Currently serving 12 municipalities in Selangor, KDEBWM manages waste collection from residential areas, public parks, as well as industrial and commercial zones. The additional trucks are expected to enhance efficiency during peak waste collection periods and support newly developed areas that now require regular services.
KDEBWM first incorporated UD Trucks into its fleet in 2016 with seven units. With the latest acquisition, its total UD Trucks fleet has grown to nearly 150 vehicles.
Keiichiro Ochiai-Region Director for Southeast Asia & East Asia at UD Trucks, expressed confidence that the Croner Euro 5 will continue to support KDEBWM’s critical role in maintaining cleanliness across Selangor, highlighting improvements in uptime, productivity, cost efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
Meanwhile, Loh Thim Choy reaffirmed TCIE’s commitment to providing comprehensive support to KDEBWM, noting that the Croner Euro 5 is engineered for reliability, safety, efficiency and versatility in demanding applications such as waste management.
Selected for its strong engine performance and Euro 5-compliant low emissions, the Croner also delivers high operational uptime, cost efficiency and a robust 19-tonne body capacity — critical for handling heavy-duty municipal waste tasks. Its spacious cabin enhances crew comfort during long shifts, while proven reliability ensures consistent service, especially during peak collection periods and in newly developed areas.
