19 March 19, 2025,Bangi, Malaysia, – Sapura Industrial Berhad (SIB), has signed a five-year Technical Assistance Agreement (TAA) with Mubea Fahrwerksfedern GmbH (Mubea),to drive long-term value for the automotive industry.
Mubea ,specialised in high-strength, lightweight automotive components.
This collaboration enhances SIB’s technical capabilities in the design, development, and production of hollow stabiliser bars and high-stress coil springs, further solidifying SIB’s position as Malaysia’s sole manufacturer of stabiliser bars and the country’s leading producer of coil springs.
Mohd Fahmi Md Isa-Head of Manufacturing Business, SIB, signed the TAA agreement with Andrzej Wojcikowski– Head of Region Asia, Mubea, at Sapura Industrial Berhad in Bangi. Also presence were Dr. Thomas Muhr -General Partner, CEO of Mubea, Datuk Syed Izuan Syed Kamarulbahrin- MD of SIB, Fazal Othman Mohd Ghazali-President, Industrial Business, SIB and Felix Muhr-Assistant, Member of the Mubea Directors Committee.
The partnership between SIB and Mubea will be led by SIB’s wholly owned subsidiary, Sapura Automotive Industries Sdn Bhd (SAI), ensuring a seamless integration of technical expertise to better serve and drive long-term value for the automotive industry.
SIB remains committed to driving the advancement of Malaysia’s automotive sector, ensuring that local manufacturing keeps pace with evolving original equipment manufacturer (OEM) requirements.
As the industry shifts towards lighter materials for improved vehicle performance and efficiency, demand for hollow stabiliser bars is growing in both internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and electric vehicles (EVs). By adding hollow stabiliser bars to its product portfolio, SIB strengthens its position as Malaysia’s sole manufacturer of these critical components.
At the same time, SIB is expanding its coil spring production, creating new regional opportunities and reinforcing its leadership as Malaysia’s largest producer of coil springs.
