March 10,2025,Kuala Lumpur – Continental Tyre Malaysia is collaborating with four leading automotive academies; Leng Kee Auto Academy, Pro Skills Academy, Rimbunan Hijau Academy and Techtra Automotive Academy, to strengthens talent sustainability in the automotive industry, and equipping future generations with essential skills and job opportunities while providing Continental’s retailer network with a steady pipeline of skilled talent.
Andrea Somorova- M D of Continental Tyre PJ Malaysia Sdn Bhd, has signed a collaboration agreement with Kek Kim Hock– Principal of Leng Kee Auto Academy, Yang Kien Seng, Chairman of Pro Skills Academy, Sarah Tiong Pei Xin-Director of Rimbunan Hijau Academy, and Fong Weng Hong, Director of Techtra Automotive Academy.

As the first tyre manufacturer to partner with local automotive academies, Continental expands career opportunities for students beyond traditional placements with car manufacturers’ service centres. By addressing the industry’s talent gap and sharing valuable industry knowledge, this initiative helps build a more skilled, job-ready workforce, ensuring long-term industry sustainability.
This partnership will feature joint training programs focused on knowledge sharing between Continental and the automotive academies. Experts from Continental will provide comprehensive tyre-related training to students, while the academies will offer specialised courses tailored to industry needs. These cross-trainings will cover essential topics such as staff technical upskilling and vehicle maintenance, including electric vehicles (EVs). Through this collaboration, students will gain the expertise needed for a dynamic career in the evolving automotive market.
