November 07,2024,Malaysia-JAECOO, has received overwhelming interest for its JAECOO C9 premium off-road SUV coupé following a public debut in 1 Utama . Over 5,000 visitors viewed and test- drove the D-segment SUV for the first time, ahead of its official launch in December.

The C9 Two-wheel drive (2WD) estimated at MYR185,000 and the C9 All-Wheel Drive (AWD) estimated at MYR195,000. JAECOO aims to deliver the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) models by January 2025, with the Two-Wheel Drive (2WD) models available by May/June 2025.

The C9 is the second premium off-road SUV introduced by JAECOO following its maiden model, the JAECOO J7 SUV, launched in July. Following the showcase at 1Utama, JAECOO is also organising a driving experience for the public to witness the C9 perform in dynamic driving conditions at the Plaza Arkadia Carpark CP3 on Saturday, 9 November and Sunday 10 November from 9:00am to 6:00pm.

“We are very happy to receive such positive interest for the C9 from the public. Our product strategy is always supported by market research which empowers us to deliver the right offerings that meet customer needs. We believe the C9 fits seamlessly into the JAECOO premium brand DNA with its off-road capabilities that are ideal for urban and outdoor adventures,” said JAECOO Malaysia VP, Emily Lek.

Emily Lek shared, “We are driven by our passion to provide the absolute best product proposition for our customers in Malaysia. The C9 is a testament to this passion, as we present JAECOO Malaysia’s first premium off-road SUV Coupé.  Above and beyond delivering a great SUV, we believe in creating an amazing experience for anyone who encounters the JAECOO brand. Be prepared to be amazed from the visually captivating design language of the C9.”

Looking to inject a holistic experience, the brand designed the C9 showcase with the goal of igniting the five senses. The SUV was housed within a spiral shell to build the anticipation of visitors keen to get a first glance of the SUV. The visual appeal of the C9 was complimented by a carefully curated environment which integrated signature scents, textures and flavours to fully immerse visitors in a premium multi-dimensional experience.

Drivers got a first-hand taste of the C9’s 2.0 TGDI inline four-cylinder petrol engine which has the capability of producing 257 Hp and 400Nm of torque.

A standout feature that sets the C9 apart from its peers in the D-segment SUV segment is its Continuous Damping Control (CDC) system which calculates and activates the required stiffness of the shock absorbers within milliseconds according to the load and weight-strain on the vehicle as well as the road surface conditions. The result is an adaptive driving experience with enhanced comfort for everyone within.
