MAY 20,2024,KUALA LUMPUR – The locally assembled Volkswagen Golf R is now available for booking at retail price of RM332,990. inclusive of Volkswagen Assurance Package (VAP), which supports owners with 5 years maintenance, unlimited mileage warranty, and roadside
assistance.This was officially announced today by Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM).
The Golf R will be on display at the upcoming Malaysia Autoshow, happening from 22nd May to 26th May 2024 at MAEPS in Serdang. Also on show at the Volkswagen booth located in Hall 2 will be the all-new Touareg R-Line 4MOTION and Arteon R-Line 4MOTION.
Customers at the Malaysia Autoshow will be in for a treat as Volkswagen is currently offering special promotions of savings up to RM36,000. Those who purchase an Arteon will also enjoy free scheduled maintenance for the first 7 years of ownership. Furthermore, those who book any Volkswagen model at the Malaysia Autoshow stand a chance to win an all-expenses luxury holiday for two at the Banjaran Hotsprings Wellness Retreat in Ipoh, Perak. This promotion will
also be available nationwide until 31st of May 2024.

Specifically designed for the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, the “Special” mode gives the Golf R a set-up that meets the distinctive requirements of what is probably the most demanding racetrack in the world.
The 2.0TSI 4-cylinder turbo engine pushes out 320 PS and 400 Nm of torque. With a 7-speed wet-type, dual-clutch DSG transmission, the Golf R rockets from 0-100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds to reach a maximum speed of 250 km/h. Stability and traction is maintained via its 4MOTION all-wheel drive system with performance torque vectoring.
Visually, the flagship of the Golf range is identified by its motorsport- inspired R front bumper and R radiator grille. Three colour choices are available – the signature Lapiz Blue, Deep Black and Pure White. The sportiness of the Golf R in the interior is evident with R decorative trim in Carbon Grey, premium Nappa sport leather seats complete with iconic R styling, as well as the R performance steering wheel with blue backlit R button and shift paddles.
Other new features include a Head-Up Display (HUD) that is projected to the windscreen, 10-inch Discover Pro infotainment system, with audio by a 10- speaker, 480-watt Harman Kardon sound system, wireless smartphone charging and automatic high beam assist. The Golf R is supported with IQ.DRIVE technology and advanced driver assistance systems such as Travel Assist with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Side Assist, Front Assist, Lane Assist and Emergency Assist.
