May 10,2024, Malaysia-The Ministry of Transport expect full operation by year end , the implementation of the Malaysian Maritime Single Window(MMSW) to cut red tape and improve efficiency at the Ports. Phase 1 of the system involving 10 shipping companies to assess the integrity of the system has already began on 21st April 2024.
Anthony Loke Siew Fook, Minister of Transport disclosed this at the official launch of the 6th Malaysia Commercial Vehicle Exhibition (MCVE) at the MIECC.
“The transport industry has adapted remarkably well ,emerging from the pandemic which accelerated the adoption of digitalisation across all sectors”,said Anthony Loke.” As such ,now the industry has a shortage of commercial heavy vehicles drivers .
