March 25, 2024 ,BANGKOK, Thailand–Toshihiro Fujiki, is named Nissan President of ASEAN and Thailand,effective from April 1, 2024. He will report to Junichi Endo, Senior VP, marketing and sales, Japan-ASEAN.
Toshihiro Fujiki is currently MD of Infiniti China and Completely Built Units (CBU) business, MD of Dongfeng Infiniti Motor Co., Ltd. (DFI) and Senior VP of Infiniti Business Division of Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company (DFN),
In his new role, Fujiki will oversee Nissan’s business in ASEAN region. Fujiki will lead a diverse, multinational teams across ASEAN and Thailand, including Nissan’s Southeast Asia production and research base in Thailand.
Fujiki brings almost two decades of industry experience, linking the company mission, brand promise, and product offering with customers across various markets. Fujiki joined Nissan in 2019 as general manager of the Asia and Oceania marketing and sales department at the company’s global headquarters in Japan. Before moving to China, he spent two years in Indonesia overseeing dealer network development and customer quality. Prior to joining Nissan, he worked for Bridgestone, where he held strategic leadership positions in Japan, Australia, Belgium, and China. Fujiki holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Waseda University in Japan.
Isao Sekiguchi, currently President of ASEAN and Thailand, will be promoted to Corporate VP, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., and MD of Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Company (DFN), reporting to Shohei Yamazaki, Chairperson of MC-China.
Mineyuki Saotome, currently Senior VP of Monozukuri in ASEAN, will be promoted to VP in charge of the Tochigi Plant in Japan. Saotome will report to Yasuhiko Obata, Senior VP.
Masao Sumi, will be appointed Senior VP of manufacturing and supply chain management in ASEAN. He will report to Toshihiro Fujiki, President of ASEAN and Thailand. He succeeds Mineyuki Saotome. Masao Sumi is currently GM of manufacturing, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd.
