September 28, 2023 ,Kuala Lumpur– Honda Malaysia has officially launched the Ultimate Sport model, the All-New Honda Civic Type R , at a retail price of RM399,900.00 .However ,there are only 19 units available for Malaysia in 2023. Fans of the Civic Type R are assured that more units of the All-New Civic Type R will be coming in 2024.
President & COO Honda Malaysia –Sarly Adle Sarkum and Honda Malaysia MD and CEO, Hironobu Yoshimura officially unveiled the most powerful car ever sold by Honda in Malaysia.
A feature unique to the All-New Civic Type R and a first for Honda Malaysia is the Honda Log R application which is specially designed for this model for the driver to achieve significant improvements in lap times in a closed-course setting. Honda Log R is embedded in the vehicle and gains exclusive access to the on-board computer and sensors to monitor a variety of performance parameters.

The all-new hot hatch that is launched is engineered to deliver thrilling performance both on the road and on the racetrack. A powerful and stunning-looking hatch that is exclusive and sold in limited units, the All-New Civic Type R will surely have a place of prominence in the market
The All-New Civic Type R’s aerodynamic design strives to achieve ground-hugging, solid and sturdy racing car-like presence. It has been given functional front grille opening for airflow, front fender outlet that reduces pressure in the wheel to allow air to flow smoothly to the sides and a side sill garnish which enhances efficiency of air flow in front of the rear tire in the mainstream direction. A redesigned rear aluminium spoiler and a new rear diffuser provides high stability, increases downforce and minimizes aerodynamic drag for superior performance. Other notable exterior features of the All-New Civic Type R include Matte Black exclusive 19-inch wheels, and exclusive Type R badges with red Honda logo on both the front grille and tailgate.
Under the hood of this All-New Civic Type R is a powerful 2.0L VTEC Turbo engine that produces a mighty 319PS and 420Nm of torque. The ultimate high-performance engine offers improved output, torque and response for an unmatched driving experience. The All-New Civic Type R goes from 0-100km/h in 5.5 seconds, offering a thrilling drive in four driving modes; Comfort, Sport, +R and Individual which is new and is customizable by the driver.
The cockpit of the All-New Civic Type R has been designed with the concept of Human Machine Interface (HMI) to focus on providing high visibility and better manoeuvrability, particularly under high-speed driving. The overall theme of the interior is a combination of red and black colours, with red carpet flooring and red racing-inspired Type R sport seats to exude the feel of excitement when entering the cabin. The front sport seats are upholstered in new material with a touch of red gradation for enhanced comfort and increased support. An aluminium centre console and shift knob gives an ultimate shift feel and added sportiness while a serialized Type R plate at the interior air-conditioning vent is a mark of ultimate exclusivity.
Other features included in the hot hatch are 9-inch Advanced Display Audio, Wireless Charger, Multi-angle Reverse Camera, Eight Airbags and Front and Rear Parking Sensors.
