November 5, 2020, Bangkok, Thailand – Nissan has launched the new Nissan Navara pickup in Thailand, offering an enhanced level of safety, comfort, and driving please, while maintained its durability, reliability and versatility.
The pickup marked another milestone in the company’s Nissan NEXT transformation plan and confirms Nissan’s commitment to service the strong ongoing demand for advanced pickups across ASEAN and Australia.
Building on more than 80 years of Nissan pickup heritage, it stays true to the company’s belief in bringing advanced technologies to as many customers as possible.
“We packaged the new model with a full set of advanced technologies to ensure enhanced dynamic performance on- and off- road, as well as safety and comfort ushering in a new age of toughness, tech and peace-of-mind.
“For our customers it means confidence, driving pleasure, practicality and pride of ownership,” said its chief operating officer Ashwani Gupta in a statement.
Manufactured in Thailand for the ASEAN and Australian markets, the new Nissan Navara strengthens Thailand’s position as a strategic manufacturing and R&D hub for ASEAN.
Customers in Thailand will be among the first worldwide to receive the stylish and enhanced new Nissan Navara, which also underlined the importance of Thailand as a market for Nissan.
The award-winning Navara is renowned for its tough looks, robust capabilities, reliability, and versatility. The newly launched Navara now comes with new upgrades to both its design and technology.
Since its introduction in 1985, the Navara nameplate has conquered extreme locations from the dunes of the Sahara Desert and the jungles of Thailand to the mining areas of Chile in South America located at 4,000 metres above sea level.
The new Navara now comes with more extroverted and athletic design, quieter and more comfortable interior, suspension tuning to enhance its dynamic driving performance, increased payload capacity and supported by a suite of advanced Nissan Intelligent Mobility technologies.
Further elevating the pickup’s rugged character is the introduction of the PRO-4X grade. It offers an impressive, eye-catching style to appeal to extreme adventure lovers who crave an escape from the daily routine. The new looks of PRO-4X grade will be available across the global Nissan pickup line-up.
Some of the highlights of the new Navara includes the new interlock grille, C-shape quad LED projector headlamps, LED tail lamps, instrument panel with 8-inch navigation screen and a 7-inch higher resolution TFT screen, 17-inch wheels, intelligent forward collision warning, intelligent emergency braking, intelligent driver alertness, lane departure warning, intelligent lane intervention, blind spot warning, intelligent around view monitor, rear cross traffic alert, Nissan connected infotainment system, rain sensing wiper, speed-sensing door lock, auto-folding side mirrors, active brake limited slip differential system, vehicle dynamic control system, anti-brakes locking system, trailer sway control system and many more.
Initial production of the new Nissan Navara will start in Thailand and Frontier in Mexico. Production of the new Navara will later start in the plant in Rosslyn, Pretoria and South Africa.
