October 22, 2020, Singapore – The ‘Autonis’ award is presented by trade magazine ‘auto motor und sport’ (Auto motor and sport) every year to recognize the best designs in new vehicles launched.
This year, Audi won half of the awarded trophies, winning five out of ten categories with models from many segments.
Winning in the “Small car, Compact car, Compact SUV, Mid-Size and Full-size category,” Audi sweeped and was the top winner at this year’s “Autonis”, where 16,000 participants cast their readers’ choice votes.
The Audi A1 Citycarver took the “Small Car” category with 33 per cent of the vote. It debuted last year and is characterized by a thoroughly robust, off-road look apart from the standard A1. In the “Compact Car” category, the new Audi A3 took the win with 19.6 per cent. The new compact car is the first Audi model to offer Matrix LED headlights in combination with digital daytime running lights.
As for the “Compact SUV” category, 24.4 per cent of readers voted for the Q3 Sportback for the win. The coupe SUV sets it apart from the standard Q3.
Moving on to the larger “Mid-Size and Full-Size” categories, 36.3 per cent went to the Audi A5 while the RS 6 Avant took home the respectively. The latter, with its 40mm widened body and widely flared wheel arches showcases the unmistakable character of the performance Avant versus the basic model.
