September 25, 2020, Petaling Jaya – Honda Malaysia Sdn Bhd, the largest non-national carmaker in Malaysia, has announced that the 5th generation all-new City RS i-MMD will be offered with Honda Sensing.
With the Honda Sensing system in the all-new City RS i-MMD, it utilises a front wide view camera to recognise better road boundaries during day and night driving conditions.
The Honda Sensing technologies available in the all-new city RS i-MMD features the adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking system, forward collision warning, lane keeping assist system, road departure mitigation, lane departure warning and auto high-beam.
“I believe the upcoming 5th generation all-new City will excite Malaysians with its advanced safety technology and class-leading features. Last month, we organised an on-going nationwide tour where people can take the opportunity to view the all-new City RS i-MMD up close.
“We are delighted to receive high interest and positive feedback from the public and bookings have been very encouraging. The all-new City RS i-MMD offers first in segment features such as remote engine start, Honda LaneWatch and electric parking brake. We are now raising the benchmark further to introduce a most complete Honda Sensing feature in its segment which was previously only available in the C, D and SUV segment,” said its managing director and chief executive officer Toichi Ishiyama in a statement.
He added that the company has implemented several technology enhancement for the facilities in the Melaka manufacturing plant in preparation for this City and future models.
“This is to ensure utmost quality so that customers can continue to enjoy owning a Honda car. On top of that, Honda Malaysia is the first and only car manufacturer in the country to assemble an Intelligent Power Unit from individual lithium-ion battery components to a complete power unit where the assembly process is on par with the technology in Hoda Japan.

The all-new City portrays a modern and sporty exterior design. The range topping variant features new LED headlights with LED daytime running lights, LED tail lights, new carbon patterned front lip, new rear bumper with diffuser, gloss black ducktail spoiler, new gloss black door mirror, 16-inch alloy wheels and many more.
Bookings for the all-new City started on August 14, 2020 at all Honda Malaysia’s authorised dealers nationwide. Customers will receive a RM 1,000 service voucher with 1 year validity and with terms and conditions apply, when they place a booking now for the all-new City under the ‘Special Early Booking Programme’.
