September 2, 2020, Kuala Lumpur – French carmaker Peugeot has introduced the new Peugeot 3008 SUV produced in Sochaux, France.
The 3008 has sold more than 800,000 units globally since its launch in 2016. It has also won numerous awards such as the Car Of The Year 2017.
With the new Peugeot 3008, it is now more modern, and elegant. Thanks to its redesigned front end, new full LED tail lights, new body colours, a new ‘Black Pack’ and many more.
The new Peugeot 3008 SUV now comes with a rechargeable hybrid engine, with an option of two or four-wheel drive and in petrol or diesel engines, to fulfill every customers’ requirement.
Customers can choose the following engine displacement to power the Peugeot 3008 SUV. Options available include the 1.2-litres 3-cylinder engine, 1.6-litre 4-cylinder engine or the 1.5-litres 4-cylinder engine, paired to either one or two electric motors powering its drivetrains. The batteries would take from 1 hour 45 minutes to 7 hours to fully charge it, depending on the single-phase charger used.
Some of the equipment list includes the new 12.3-inch digital headset Peugeot i-Cockpit, 10-inch HD touchscreen, frameless grille, shiny black side scoops, painted tread plate, LED headlamps, hook-shaped daytime running lights, rear fog lamps, drive mode selectors, new Mistral Nappa leather upholstery, night vision, wireless smartphone charging bay, usb sockets, 17-inch alloy wheels, hands-free start, dual-zone air conditioning, rear parking assist, digital radio, hands-free tailgate, dual-pane sunroof, electric parking brake, amongst others.
At the same time, there are various options ‘Pack’ to upgrade the 3008 accessories, such as 18 or 19-inch wheels, more glossy black and darker exterior finishes, full LED headlamps with bending lights function, Alcantara lining, Hands-free tailgate, FOCAL® Hifi sound system, massaging electric seats, tinting film, ambient lightings, etc.
Some of the key safety features, depending on models and with or without Drive Assist Package, includes adaptive cruise control, park assist, Visiopark 1 with 180° rear view camera, Visiopark 2 with 360° front and rear cameras, active warning, lane departure warning, driver warning alert, automatic switching high beam, speed sign recognition, active blind spot monitoring system, advanced grip control and hill assist descent control.
There are seven colour options to choose from, of which two of them are new colour shades. The colours available are Pearl White, Artense Grey, Platinum Grey, Perla Nera Black and Ultimate Red. Meanwhile, the two new shades are the Celebes Blue and Vertigo Blue.
Depending on the country of sale, the new Peugeot 3008 can be purchased on the Peugeot online stores. The model will be marketed in Europe by the end of 2020.
