April 6, 2020, Subang Jaya – Proton Holdings Bhd, the second largest national carmaker in Malaysia, has announced that warranties that expiring during the Movement Control Order (MCO) period will be extended by 1,000km or 30 days (whichever comes first) following to the final day of the MCO.
As all Proton service outlets will be closed during the MCO, warranties will remain valid even if the vehicle misses its recommended service period.
“Customers are advised to service their vehicle within 30 days of the end of the MCO period to keep their warranties active,” said Proton in a statement.
The company also advised their customers to contact a Proton service outle to book a service appointment within 15 days of the end of the MCO period.
