December 12, 2019, Georgetown, Penang – Plug-in Hybrid and electric cars owners now can head to Gurney Paragon Mall, to charge their vehicles while having a drink or to shop around there.
Tian Siang Premium Auto, the dealer representative of the BMW brand in Ipoh, Butterworth and Gurney Paragon Mall has added two additional BMW i Charging Facilities at the premises of Gurney Paragon Mall, further expanding the growing network of charging facilities in the country.
“The new charging facilities here at Gurney Paragon Mall marks our first location on the Island of Penang and the second in the state that is fully-equipped and ready to further power the future of mobility in Malaysia, complementing the two BMW i Charging Facilities introduced at the Iconic Hotel in Butterworth, Penang, in October last year.
“As we continue to expand accessibility to charging facilities, I am confident that the adoption of electromobility in the northwestern region of Malaysia will increase in 2020,” said its managing director Tan Ka Kin in a statement.
The new BMW i Charging Facilities in the Gurney Paragon Mall adds to over 20 charging facilities unveiled in recent years across Malaysia by BMW Group Malaysia and its dealer partners, including Bangsar Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur, the Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat and WEIL Hotel in Ipoh, Holiday Inn Melaka, the Equatorial Melaka, and CityONE Megamall Kuching.
BMW Group Malaysia’s portfolio of Visionary Mobility with the BMW iPerformance vehicles are also supported by the ChargEV platform through its partnership with the Malaysian Green Technology Corporation.
The BMW ChargeNow service, which is offered as part of the BMW 360° Electric programme, also grants straightforward access to partner charging facilities like ChargEV, where customers can enjoy 24/7 support and access to all charging locations in ChargEV’s growing network which now offers more than 270 charging facilities nationwide.
