October 14, 2019, Stuttgart – Last month, Porsche premiered the new electric sports car – Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S. Today, the company presented the third variant of the sports saloon with the Taycan 4S.
The new entry-level model is available in two battery sizes and delivers with the Performance Battery of up to 390kW (523 hp) or with the Performance Battery Plus up to 420 kW (563 hp). The standard variant comes with a single-deck Performance Battery with a total capacity of 79.2 kWh. As for the two-deck Performance Battery Plus, similar to the Taycan Turbo S and Taycan Turbo is optionally available, with a total capacity of 93.4 kWh.
Both the Taycan 4S variants can complete the century sprint in 4.0 seconds and the top speed is rated at 250 kph. The Performance Battery has a range of up to 407 km, and with the Performance Battery Plus, it may travel up to 463 km. The maximum charging capacity (peak) is 225 kW (Performance Battery) or 270 kW (Performance Battery Plus).
The all-wheel drive Taycan 4S retained the unmistakable Porsche design DNA. It looks particularly wide and flat with contoured wings from the front. The silhouette is shaped by the sporty roof line sloping flat with highly contoured wings. There are also the glass-effect Porsche logo, that has been integrated into the light bar at the rear.
Its standard equipment list includes 19-inch Taycan S Aero wheels, red-painted brake calipers, front apron with new geometry, side sills, rear diffuser in black, LED headlights including Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus, 10.9-inch infotainment system and eight-way electrical adjusted seats. The Porsche 4D Chassis Control and the Porsche Active Suspension Management are also available.
